• Do you remember the days when you had learned to ride a cycle/bike or driving a car?
  • Have you ever seen players keep practicing their particular sport even when they are not intended to play?
  • Do you remember the quote, “Practice makes a man perfect.”!

What is that one thing that comes to your mind after reading the above-mentioned questions? The first question might remind you about that golden phase of your life when you learned something new.

The second question might take your attention towards Virat Kohli or Sachin Tendulkar’s practice session videos.

Third clarifies it more that we become experts with practice.

Now, here I would like to rephrase the quote, it not practice that makes you perfect, it’s the way you practice that makes you either perfect or imperfect.

Now let’s learn this with a small example.

Since childhood Rohan has been Taught A as C and C was A for him. Everyone ignored the mistake he was making, pretending that after growing up he will learn the right thing.

He kept repeating the same mistake even after growing up, and people started making fun of him. He has been punished by teachers or parents for the mistakes not done by him.

You tell me, was that his mistake of knowing C as A and vice versa?

NO, as he gained perfection in making mistakes, because of practicing the wrong thing for years.

Now, you may say that no matter what, the quote is still correct as people can become perfectly imperfect with an imperfect practice.

Here, I have one more question for you. Did you ever think of being perfectly imperfect in any of your niches? Or what is the first thing comes into your mind when you hear the word perfect?

It’s just perfect. A is A and C is C for you. Right!

So, for me, it says, ”Perfect practice makes a man perfect.”

Perfection is not a destination, it is a journey in which you have to keep moving on.

You may learn something, but to be perfect in that, you have to keep practicing and keep sharpening your skills with every effort.

This goes with every field of life. Even in your profession.

For eg: Marketing! it is a broad field of knowledge, and to be perfect in it, to be unique in it, you have to keep practicing in a perfect way.

One mistake and you have to start from scratch.

Practicing the right way will open all the required doors towards perfection.

Perfection is a tool which leads you ahead in market of opportunities.
